It started with print

Working on both Mac and PC, as a typesetter in a repro company, I’ve been fortunate to have been given a good footing in layouts which has helped tremendously along the way.

If pushed, I prefer PCs as I like to fiddle with hardware and Macs don’t give as much freedom to add new things.

I’ve run film, stepped composite sheets for litho folded box board printing and have a thorough understanding of trapping and print processes. With digital printing offering quick turnaround times on shorter runs all this info is less relevant but there can still be issues if your colour profiles are wrong or you document is not set up properly.

There are always ways of increasing your print success and add impact to your printed material.
